“I think it’s a great introduction to my universe,” Absolutely tells me during our chat for the premiere episode of THROUGH IT. The first minute of the South London singer-songwriter’s out-of-this-world debut album Cerebrum (via Epic Records) is an atmospheric call, beaming up all within earshot to one of her several sonic planets. “It’s like, ‘Wow...’ You’re being transported.” Abby hasn’t slowed down since dropping the project in November, rocking stages for her big sister Raye’s international tour run and crafting her second LP. But her distinctive style doesn’t stop with audio.

In addition to having a candid convo inside Los Angeles speakeasy Death and Co, Absolutely and I are joined by stylist Raf Talaat at her home away from home to explore her fashion sense and play a game of dystopian dress-up. “Imagine it’s 3040 and the world has ended,” Abby says, describing her End of Days-meets-couture looks.

“Every song that I made was a step closer to being where I am now. Every song was a lesson.”

"It's kind of ironic, because I'm very indecisive and I chose the name 'Absolutely,' It’s definite and sure. There’s no room for not knowing. I like to become that character who is so sure of who she is. There’s no room for doubt. I’m just fierce."

“I’m just trying to be most authentically myself at all times. And try to not let opinions or what other people think I should be looking like and doing and sounding like get to my head. Otherwise, I’ll be diluted. I want to keep looking forward, keep being who I am.”
